2 cups all-purpose flour
1 2/3 cups Natura’s Vanilla Almond Milk
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup vegan butter, melted
1/2 cup light brown sugar (or similar yellow sugar)


In a large mixing bowl, pour in the almond milk and mix with the apple cider vinegar to create a vegan buttermilk.

Set aside for 5-10 minutes or until the mixture thickens.

In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk to combine. Gradually add in the milk mixture, whisking continuously, followed by the melted butter. Whisk until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Allow the mixture to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Preheat your waffle maker and oil it with cooking spray or a small amount of butter, as preferred. Cook the waffles according to your waffle iron’s instructions, usually around 5-7 minutes.

Serve hot with maple syrup and vegan whipped cream, if desired.
