It comes either from organic soybeans, almonds or from organic brown rice, all of which contain very small amounts of naturally occurring sodium. We also add a bit of sea salt to stabilize our beverages’ nutritional balance and pH.

SOME NATUR-A PRODUCTS ARE FORTIFIED WITH CALCIUM. DOES THIS CALCIUM COME FROM ANIMAL SOURCES?

The calcium in our soy beverages comes from a natural mineral called calcium carbonate. The calcium in our rice and almond beverages comes from a natural mineral called tricalcium phosphate. WHY DO SOME NATUR-A SOY BEVERAGES CONTAIN SUNFLOWER OIL?

We add sunflower oil to our classic soy beverages (Original, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla) to give them a creamier texture. Our other soy beverages (Unsweetened, Light Original and Light Vanilla) do not contain any sunflower oil.

IS IT TRUE THAT SOY BEVERAGES ARE MADE FROM SOY CONCENTRATE OR SOY ISOLATES?

No. Natur-a is made from pure soy. Natur-a soy beverages are made from whole, non-genetically-modified, 100% organic soybeans. Unlike other soy beverages, Natur-a soy beverages contain no soy concentrate, no soy isolate, no rice, no oats, no barley, and no buckwheat. When you read the Nutrition Facts table on a Natur-a soy beverage carton, all of the protein listed comes from pure, organic SOY protein.

DO NATUR-A BEVERAGES CONTAIN ANY ARTIFICIAL FLAVOURS?

No. All of the flavours used in our beverages are natural, which means that they are extracted from natural plants.

WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE WATER USED TO PREPARE NATUR-A PRODUCTS?

To prepare Natur-a products, we use filtered water. We start with water that has been filtered and purified according to the highest government standards. Our water source is not fluoridated. Then we double-filter the water to eliminate all traces of chlorine and other elements that may be present in spring and tap water. Thanks to the quality controls applied in our filtering process, our twice-filtered water is far superior to spring water. All year around, our water stays pure, regardless of any environmental conditions that may affect the water source.

WHAT IS XANTHAN GUM AND WHY IS IT USED IN SOME NATUR-A SOY BEVERAGES?

Xanthan is a natural gum produced by using a pure culture of Xanthomonas campestris to ferment a carbohydrate. Xanthan gum acts as a stabilizer for the organic cocoa and the calcium in Natur-a soy beverages.
